21 Done
I finished the 21 needed items for Antonio. They are to be delivered today.
Here are some pictures of the process along the way……
The beginning….just a roll of fabric waiting to be used.
With the table all set up the cutting begins.
The item I was cutting out was as wide as the table and longer by almost 30 inches so the cutting process was SLOW. (It would have been easier/faster to do this on the floor but I just can’t crawl around on my knees anymore so everything I cut out has to be done on a table.) I’d still be unrolling, pinning and cutting if it were not for my son stepping up and helping me out. Even with his help this process took from 4pm until 11pm with only about 30 minutes in there to eat something. THANK YOU Jeremiah for all your help!
Piles of cut fabric waiting for me to start sewing.
Because the cutting took so long and I knew 21 items was going to be a huge sewing task I decided to keep a list of the number of bobbins used, time invested, etc.
So now the rolled hemming begins….number one started 9:25am.
So far I have used 7 bobbins
and completed the rolled hem on 14 items…..progress is being made.
Finally-at 9:48 pm…………………..after a total of 18 bobbins being used I finished the rolled hem on the 21 large items
and the lettuce ruffled hemming on the small triangles.
DONE ———————YIPPEE!
(I can’t show you the items ……………..not until they are worn by their owners…..sorry.)..
Before I go I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings
and to wish you a
