Ukulele Cover Made Today

Today I made a padded cover for a little soprano sized Makala Shark ukulele.  They come with a light dust cover carrier but it needed something thicker for better protection. Extra money for that type of thing is never available but I have lots of fabric so I decided to attempt making one. 

In my stash of fabric I found music themed fabric for the outside and a color that is almost an exact match of the color of the ukulele for the inside lining.  I used scraps of batting that I had left over from quilting to place between the two  so it would be nice and thick.

It turned out pretty well and now this little ukulele has a nice, soft, comfy, protective home.  

I have a very happy  FINNEY – (that’s this little uke’s name)
