New Classes start TODAY!

Today’s the day.
There’s still time to sign up for sewing and/or quilting class
at the Walnut Recreation Center in Las Vegas, NV.
The sewing class starts at noon.
The quilting class starts at 1:30
Since this is the first class all you will need to bring is your sewing machine and thread.
I will supply everything else that you need for today only.
I will hand out a supply list for what you need for the rest of the classes.

If you are a returning student and would like to bring the current project that you are already working on that is fine or you are more than welcome to join in with what the new students will be making.

For the new students:
In the sewing class we will be making a “zippered pouch” and a tote bag during this session. Today we will start on the zippered pouch. I have everything you need, including the zipper.
(don’t panic- its a myth that zippers are hard. 🙂

In the quilting class today I will have numerous samples of simple quilt tops and quilt blocks for you to look at.
We will discuss some basic techniques, a tiny bit of history and more.
You will leave with you very first block. You can incorporate it into the quilt top we will be making or, like some of my past students, you can frame it. 🙂

So grab your sewing machine and thread-(white, off white, beige, anything neutral).
