How Do You Wake Up?
I always set my alarm just in case but I’m usually up before it goes off. Often, very often, I wake up because of a nightmare. Nightmares are the hardest way to wake up because they can affect me for hours. Many times it takes a lot of time praying and reading my bible to get past the lingering affects.
Sometimes, though not often, I wake up while having a good dream which is what happened yesterday morning. That dream was a very good one full of people that are now at home with the Lord. Though it was a good dream, and I enjoyed it while I was having it, I did feel a little sad for a short time because I miss them so much.
Probably because music is such a big part of me, many times I wake up with a song on my mind that plays over and over through out the day. Most of the time it’s a bluegrass song about Jesus and I like that.
This morning was a little different. This morning I woke myself up singing out loud. I was singing so loud, in fact, that my own voice woke me up. Ha Ha It doesn’t happen often but when it does it makes me laugh out loud. It’s a great way to start the day.
This is the song I was singing…..
Lyrics:
GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL
Christians are falling away from the Lord today
The west coast is falling into the ocean they say
Disease is killing our loved ones, our children
But Christians we have to be bold
Don’t give up the fight
it’s still daylight
And God is still in control
God is still in control and Jesus is Still on the throne
The battles not over but the victory is already won
And God is still in control
Troubles and trials often they clutter my mind
Mile after mile oppressions upon every side
But I kneel down & pray and cry out Lord help me
I need you to comfort my soul
He whispers, don’t cry,
for your soul I died
I’m God and I’m still in control
God is still in control and Jesus is Still on the throne
The battles not over but the victory is already won
And God is still in control
God is still in control
Happy Saturday everyone. I pray music fills your day!
