Lots of “Bizzy” going on
WOW…It’s been a “bizzy” day and even though it’s very early for me, I’m beat!
I worked at the rec center this morning. One of my sewing students brought in a little tote bag she’s used for about 20 years. It was a sad looking, worn out little bag but it had very cute pictures on front and back. She said it held lots of memories for her so she wanted to know if we could save it somehow. First I separated the front and back into 2 panels. Then using heat and bond on the back of each to strengthen them we made a new tote bag and appliqued the panels on. After they were pressed on I had her zig zag around the edges then she stitched around all the little cartoonish pictures given them definition and even more strength. We ran out of time but she’ll be back in class Monday and we’ll get it finished. She was so excited that her little bag wasn’t going to be just thrown out. It really blessed my heart to see how happy it made her.
I got off about noon and went to the bank first, then I headed to the pharmacy to pick up medication I had to get today. There was a very long line and when I got to the front I was told the prescriptions that were supposed to be ready, weren’t. After about 45 minutes and another long line I finally had the medication in my hands so even after the delay I left feeling happy and thankful. Thankful for the availability of the medications and for Gods provision that gave me the ability to pay for it and happy that I could check “go to bank” and “pick up medication” off my list. Next on the list was a quick stop for one small item I had to have to finish the doll I was working on.
Check—another thing off the list….
One last stop to make for a few things from the grocery store then all the errands were checked off the list. Oh happy me!
Once I got home I went right to work my sewing and alterations orders. I got one more little doll finished and it’s ready to be mailed this week. {go to post office on the new list-LOL}
In the mist of everything today my phone, which rarely rings, rang almost non stop and one of the calls is a possible new student- Yippee.
All in all it’s been a terrific day. Yes, I am beat but……… I am blessed………..
