Next time – the Uke!
I started out this morning at the DMV. It was not a pleasant experience. The person waiting on me must have been having a bad day (or life) and I, sadly, didn’t respond as I should have. I hate it when I let this flesh rise up and I don’t show the grace to others that has been shown to me. Before I left this morning,I actually considered taking my ukulele with me to make the wait go faster and I should have. If nothing else it would have been a conversation starter though I’m not sure how many would have noticed since most everyone had their attention on the tiny screen in front of their noses. However, I can sing pretty loud so I probably could have gotten their attention if I tried. LOL
I find it so sad how we isolate ourselves from one another. It’s simply not healthy. Oh well…..sigh!
My next stop was the bank and then the post office. I made sure I made eye contact and smiled at everyone I met at both places. Some people look scared when you do that …they look away very quickly but others light up. Their whole face smiles. I like that!
At the post office I sent off another little Ukulele Lady to her new home. I hope her new mommy loves her.
I’m back home and it’s time now to finish the last little doll I have left to do. She’s not a ukulele Lady but a little Christmas Angel dolly. The body is finished, the face is embroidered. I have to complete the clothes, wings and hair. Once she’s done then it’s on to a commissioned quilt.
Lot’s to do so it’s off to my sewing room. Happy Monday everyone.
…………..take time to be kind and SMILE at everyone you meet today……………….
