No Resolutions for me

As people rejoice over another new year and sounds of revelry fills the air

my mind wanders upward to heavenly things

as I consider what this new year may bring

A closer relationship with my Lord up above & more time to share God’s mercy and love

Hours and days to be your hands and your feet

As lost, wandering souls I happen to meet

No new years resolutions to consider for me

just prayers for the captives-that they be set free

So as fireworks explode and bright light fills the air

Their salvation, please Lord, is my fervent prayer.
