Productive Down Time

I have to let my hands rest more often now or they swell and get painful. It’s frustrating but I guess it’s part of the normal aging process. I have a difficult time doing nothing so I’ve found I can use this down time designing patterns for future quilts or crocheted afghans. It can be tricky getting it to look right on graph paper. Everything is so boxy looking.

Today for some reason “wings” kept coming up in my thoughts so I came up with 3 simple ideas for afghans based on “wings”. Also what I really wanted to do was sew which led me to create one simple afghan design with a sewing theme.
