Tonight I needed….
Tonight I needed to “not think” so much so when I sat down before my sewing machine I decided to take all the scraps that were within reach and make something….anything that I could with the supplies close by. I needed to just sew without working on something serious. I needed to just sew without worrying about proper measurements, having everything match or being careful. I needed to just go though the motions sewing quietly while talking to and listening to God.
I gathered the fabric that was within my reach, cut without being careful measuring, ironed on interfacing, and started piecing everything together like puzzle pieces. I sewed without music in the background. I sewed just to hear the sewing machine hum. I sewed to *bizzy* my *handz* and quiet my mind.
The result:
I. A more quiet heart and mind.
2. A new purse (though I didn’t need one) patched together with 3 different fabrics, misc. threads and misc. sized buttons.
I can’t show you a picture of a more quiet heart and mind but I do have pictures of the pieced together simple purse.
Now it’s time for more bible reading, more prayers and maybe, sometime before morning, sleep.
Good night everyone. Peaceful dreams!
