What’s Happening at Walnut sewing and quilting class

The sewing/quilting class I teach at the Walnut Recreation Center in Las Vegas, NV. is a small but a very “close” class. They care for each other and friendships have blossomed as they sat side by side and learned to sew. One of the students has a blessing that will be joining her family in February so, on the sly, the other students made a few blocks to contribute towards a baby quilt for her. I took their blocks, put them all together and machine quilted it. Today we all got together after class and presented her with the gift. Of course there was food and lots of laughter. I think everyone had a great time. I know I did.
