Wind, Wind and more wind!
Whenever it’s windy, smoggy, lots of pollen, smoky, etc I have to stay inside and under 2 air purifiers so I can breath. Today is an extremely windy day here so I’m spending my “stuck inside” time to finish 2 “hand sewing” projects.
Between sneezes and with my inhaler near by, I am attempting to finish all the hand embroidered stars and shooting stars in the sky area of a quilt I recently made. I’m using glow in the dark embroidery floss and it’s turning out pretty cute if I do say so myself. I have found that I really like the playfulness of the glow in the dark thread. Just the kid in me, I guess 🙂
I also have one side of binding left to finish stitching on a wall hanging. That won’t take much longer then, after a good pressing, it will be ready to give to the new owner. Both of these should be easily completed today. I do plan on taking a few pictures but I won’t post pictures until each go to their new owners.
Okay – – – that’s it for now everyone. My break is over and it’s back to my sewing.
Happy Sunday to you all.
A TIP FOR YOU:
I’ve found that all glow in the dark threads are NOT created equal. I haven’t tried them all of course, but of those that I have used, and in my humble opinion, the best one is Nitelite Extra Glow thread. It glows the brightest and longest. Superior threads website has a “try me special” right now. It’s $5.21 for a 40 weight polyester 80 yard spool. There is a one spool limit but if you are interested it’s a good time to try it out.
For your convenience I’ve included a link if you’d like to check it out. Just click on the image below to go to their website. For those that are wondering……..I am not in any way affiliated with them and I do not get a kick back of any kind. I do, however, like to share with you when I find something that I like and, in my opinion, is a good product.
Example~~~~~> Here I shined a pin light in four different places on my spool of NiteLite thread then snapped the picture in a dark room. See it really glows nicely. 🙂
